Rules and Determinations

Our travel team try-outs give each player the opportunity to showcase their lacrosse talents & off-season work to earn a spot on one of our National Travel Teams. Our teams will be built by 4 criteria: 1) Lacrosse Skills & IQ, 2) Attitude and Work Ethic, 3) Team Needs, 4) Proper Age groups.

Evaluation Process & Team Placement:

Each player that comes to the try-outs will be given a bib with a random number and players will be evaluated by Empress staff and qualified volunteers who will rate each player on a scale of 1-10 on a specific set of skills and qualities.  Teams will be selected on a skill and position need basis.  We will evaluate the results and post the players that made the team on the website on the Wednesday following the tryouts.

If you cannot make it to either of the try-out dates, you or your parents must send an email to info@empresslacrosse.com, requesting an alternate date. You will compete in the same evaluation process and still be responsible to register and pay the $25 Fee.

Players can also register for Fall Ball and we can use this as an evaluation period and if qualified they can be added to the team at the completion of Fall Ball.

If a player does not make the travel team, they will have an option to join Fall Ball or our Development Team that will allow them to continue playing and working on their skills.
